Who we are

Naturartscape is a newly founded NGO with a simple but ambitious belief: that caring for natural spaces should not be a purely functional act. It should be a creative one.

We bring together landscape stewardship and public art to design shared spaces that are ecologically healthy, beautiful, and alive with community participation. We don’t just care for nature and place art beside it — we weave the two together, so that every bench, trail marker, sculpture, or planted grove becomes part of one continuous, evolving landscape.

Many of the places we work with are already cherished — beloved forests, historic parks, everyday paths that a whole city walks through. Our role isn’t to fix what’s broken; it’s to add value, care, and creative attention to spaces that already matter, and to help the communities around them shape what comes next.

What we believe

Nature and culture are not separate projects. A forest path and a work of art can serve the same purpose: inviting people to slow down, look closer, and care about the place they’re standing in.

Redevelopment should never be a finished product. A park is not “done” the day it opens. We design spaces meant to grow, change, and be reshaped by the people who use them — season after season, year after year.

The public is not a visitor. It’s a co-creator. The communities living around a space understand it better than any outside planner ever could. Our projects are built with residents, local artists, schools, and volunteers — not delivered to them.

What we do

🌳 Landscape Care & Enhancement We work alongside existing forests, parks, and natural areas — maintaining and improving pathways, supporting native planting, protecting water flows, and expanding accessible trails. Where a site has faced past challenges, like fire recovery or heavy use, we support its ongoing regeneration with care and respect for what it already is.

🎨 Integrated Public Art We commission and co-create site-specific artworks — sculptures, installations, murals, sound and light pieces — designed with the landscape, not placed on top of it. Art here has a job: to mark a trail, frame a view, shade a resting spot, or simply make people pause.

🤝 Participatory Design & Maintenance Before the first shovel goes into the ground, we run open workshops, co-design sessions, and site walks with local residents. After a space is built, we organize ongoing volunteer days, art residencies, and stewardship programs so the community keeps shaping the space long after launch.

🌍 Continuous Evolution Every Naturartscape site is designed as a living canvas — with modular elements, rotating installations, and seasonal planting plans that let the landscape keep changing with the people who use it.

Why it matters

Public green spaces are too often treated as either purely functional infrastructure or purely decorative parks — rarely both, and rarely shaped by the people who live near them. Even much-loved, well-established forests and parks can benefit from thoughtful, ongoing creative attention — a way of keeping the relationship between people and place active, rather than letting it fade into the background.

Naturartscape exists in that space: places that are ecologically sound and creatively alive, professionally guided and genuinely owned by their communities.
